MIAMI – October 22, 2019– Progressive Care Inc. (OTCQB: RXMD), a personalized healthcare services and technology company, today announced that Shital Mars, CEO of Progressive Care Inc., was featured on The Pot.Live Podcast.“It is an honor to speak with the team at The Pot.Live Podcast regarding the topic of our companies latest educational initiatives on informing consumers about CBD and cannabis-based medicines” said S. Parikh Mars, CEO of Progressive Care Inc. “This podcast comes after our recent announcement regarding the formation of RXMD Therapeutics Inc., which will specialize in cannabinoid-based and alternative nutraceutical products. Our mission is to educate customers on CBD and its benefits while also explaining how to properly take it in conjunction with other medicines.”In the podcast titled CBD and cannabis Based Medicine with Shital Mars, published October 16, 2019, on The Pot.Live Podcast, Mars talks in detail about the trending momentum of CBD, how individuals can incorporate CBD with their prescription medications, proper dosing, the difference between mechanisms, and the formation of RXMD Therapeutics Inc. Mars starts things off by explaining how individuals can incorporate CBD with their prescribed medicines, “If you are using prescription grade pain relievers, CBD can help you use less or you may not even need them at all. Be mindful that CBD doesn’t work for everybody across the board. If you are still struggling with sleep and inflammation, then there is nothing wrong with turning to traditional medicine to get the relief that you need. CBD is a great place to start and a lot of people can benefit from it.”Mars goes on to discuss how CBD works differently for each person and touches on the different delivery mechanisms that Progressive Care Inc. has seen work the best, “There is complete flexibility on the best delivery mechanism for each person, one size does not fit all. Our company has seen that patients who suffer from shoulder inflammation or rheumatoid arthritis benefit from a topical which directly addresses the area of need. If a patient has arthritis throughout the whole body, a tincture, edible or capsule will be the most effective delivery system but will have a less systemic absorption and longer-acting affects. A sublingual or a tincture under the tongue tend to also have quicker effects but the effects do not last as long. I suggest that patients start with a low dose, build-up, find a place that works, and then stick with what you know works and with a brand that you know you can trust. The big key in all of this is to make sure that you are using a CBD product that has a reputable website, offers a Certificate of Analysis, and a brand that is transparent about what is in the product.”Mars speaks on the benefits of using traditional cannabis with THC to get CBD absorbed into the endocannabinoid system, “We recommend that if you’re using marijuana medicinally, to do that under the guidance of a reputable physician or pharmacist who can guide you on how to properly use it. Overall, we need to stop vilifying marijuana because it does have medicinal effects and can be beneficial for a wide range of issues. Over time, we hope to see these laws change to bring natural remedies to the forefront through regulation so that patients can start receiving the medicinal benefits and not feel the need to turn to anti-depressants or opioids.”When asked about the initial product line of RXMD Therapeutics, Mars explains why they created their own CBD offerings, “It is our goal to provide a trusted source to patients where they can get hands-on knowledge and expertise from pharmacists that can guide them on how to use it for particular ailments. We want to make sure that we’re educating patients on how CBD works for their body and interacting with other medications that they may be taking. Our goal is for patients to use CBD medicinally and to have us monitor that therapy throughout their use.”The recent media coverage comes after the company’s efforts to provide its network with more healthcare informational resources through PharmCo Pharmacy.
